One of the best hybrid cukes for continuous yields of late spring to fall crops. Fruits have a crisp and delicious texture from the time they're small, harvested for pickling, right through full maturity at 8 to 10" long and 1" diameter. Deep green skin becomes glossier in high heat. Particularly well suited to warm climates, but proven reliable under a variety of conditions. Strong disease tolerance.

Excellent Cuke

A very substantial cuke with great flavor and good yields. Best of all it is resistant to downy and powdery mildew (a must in central FL).

Family and friend favorite

Very reliable, from sprouting to final picking. I enrich my soil with worm castings, Miracle Grow Garden Soil and some potting soil at planting. I water heavily per ditch weekly and more often when temperatures are 90-100+. My vines grow in full sun on the chicken coop fence, a real treat for the chickens too. Heavy producer, I fertilize every 2 weeks with a combination of manure tea that I throw banana peel and crushed eggshells in and add Sea Magic and Terra Fresh soil food to the "tea" monthly. At the time of fertilizing, I also add Miracle Grow Bloom Buster. I also fertilize my tomatoes, zucchini, and peppers with "this recipe." My friends who have tummy problems after eating cucumbers, report "never even knew I have eaten these." We have enjoyed these cucumbers for years.
