50 days. Why pay expensive supermarket prices when you can grow your own? Gourmet quality, 5 to 6" cucumbers are delicately sweet, with exceptionally tender, shiny skins. Great eaten fresh, in salads or pickled. A good choice for container gardening. Plants are parthenocarpic, have intermediate Powdery Mildew resistance and don't have to be supported but expect higher yields when trellised.

A wonderful, tender cucumber for containers
Oct 23, 2025  |  By Susan Truman
We planted 12 Manny seeds in two small containers (40" x 10") with heavily amended soil in 2025. The planters had a southern exposure of 10 - 12 hours of sun each day. All the seeds sprouted within a week and grew into thriving plants. We watered daily and were rewarded with roughly 50 small, delicious thin-skinned cucumbers. Perfect in salads with skins on or peeled. Will definitely plant these again next season.
